Godunov restaurant is located on Teatralnaya Square on the opposite side from the Bolshoi Theatre, near Metropol hotel and a stones throw away from Red Square. In the middle Ages this building was part of Zaikonospassky Monastery, built in 1600, during the rule of Boris Godunov.

Its four rooms are of different sizes and decor, but the Russian style is prevalent throughout. Every night you can enjoy live folk show and gypsies.

Executive Chef Sergey Yeroshenko has created an oasis for connoisseurs of Russian food. Comfortable parking is available near Metropol hotel.

"Yar" was founded in 1826 by a Frenchman Trankil Yard and soon became famous both in Moscow and far outside Moscow. Here a hostess welcomes every guest at the entrance and then accompanies to a table, where a helpful waiter, dressed in the Ukrainian folk costume, immediately offers Menu in any of 18 languages you like. Delicious Russian and Ukrainian meals, such as roasted sucking-pig or smoked sturgeon will satisfy even most demanding gourmets. Please mind that meals are rather big. Traditional drinks, as well as different items of wine and beer, are beyond all praise. Wooden furniture, Russian and Ukrainian folk music and cordial waiters set a cozy and relaxing atmosphere of "Taras Bulba".

Every of 9 Korchmas has its own peculiarities. For example, entering the Korchma at Petrovka you are caught with vivid Ukrainian settings: a real Russian oven and spinning wheels. Korchma at Sadovo-Pyatnitskaya has a big open-air cafe; tables here are served in a stylized "country yard" with green grass and some geese wandering around a well.

A banquet hall for 100 guests is at your disposal in the Korchma at Smolenskaya; Korchma at Pyatnitskaya offers a karaoke-bar with satellite TV. In Korchma at Leninsky prospect children can enjoy special little chairs, rocking horses and funny toys. If you would like to stay outside, an open-air cafe is at your service.

Two halls of the restaurant are paradise for a Russophile. At least "3 happinesses" are guaranteed for him. The first one is the interior designed in Russian cheap popular prints style. Wood and thematic things are everywhere. The second one is staff in national suites. And the third one is the menu.

From noon till 5 p.m. - an original lunch, reminding of smorgasbord (along with two tens of cold collations and a couple of garnishes, there are first courses - meat and fish - on the table). You can also taste medallions on ringlets of marrows with sauce of mushrooms, roasted in nuts pork, beef with white mushrooms, chicken with stuffing of pork and cranberries.

Before leaving the "Kitezh-Grad", you can step on an ancient coin - they say that it's a pledge of material well-being. Banquets and fourchettes can be organized in the restaurant. A free parking lot is available.

The restaurant is named after staff-captain Petrov, a connoisseur of the traditional Russian drink. The building of the restaurant was constructed before 1812; Napoleon stayed here on the eve of the great Moscow fire. This is the first Russian vodka restaurant. Its collection numbers over 400 sorts of vodka. You can buy collection sorts here. Dishes of Russian cuisine are presented on the menu: rabbit, young pig, duck, salmon.
