Day 1
Arrival to Moscow.
Transfer to the hotel*** and overnight in Moscow.

Day 2
After breakfast we depart for sightseeing tour of Moscow.
This tour is the best option to see the best of Moscow and get familiar with its nearly 900 years of history in just a few hours. Walk Red Square, view the Kremlin, see old Convents, visit Russia’s main cathedral, Moscow State University and Sparrow Hills. See where important cultural events unfolded: learn about Russian Ballet School when viewing Bolshoy, learn where and how Stanislavsky acting school was established, see where Leo Tolstoy and other writers lived. Get a feeling for this unique city that became a symbol of unity for people all across 11 time zones in Russia.
You will have a time for a lunch in a nice restaurant (not included in the package price). Then we proceed to the airport.
Depart to Irkutsk.

Day 3
Arrival to Irkutsk. Transfer to the city center. Accommodation in a host family.
Home entertainment (tea and baked goods).
The sightseeing city tour, during which it will be possible to see the historical center with its ancient rock and wooden tracery houses, to visit the Museum of Decembrists or the Museum of Regional Studies (tourists can make their choice).
End of the day: dinner and overnight in Irkutsk.

Day 4
After breakfast at 9:00, one departs to Olkhon Island. (Distance 350 km, en route 5-6 hours).
This is the remarkable possibility to learn the traditions and the culture of local residents – buryats of the Baikal region. If an individual transfer is chosen, you can make stops at the sacred shamanist places named “obo”. At will, you can also participate in the “Bringing of Offerings to the Spirits of the Land” ritual. This rite is called “burkhanit”.
Time for lunch. (not included in the package price).
To their discretion, the tourists can make a choice of Russian (borsch, solyanka, pancakes) or Buryat (pose, salamat) national dishes.
After the lunch, the trip goes on. Arrival to the settlement MRS Sakhyurta. Crossing the strait Olkhonskie Gates with a ferry boat (20 min.).
Then driving to Khuzhir (1-1,5 h.) located in the center of the Olkhon Island.
Accommodation in a family or at a tourist base (tourists can make their choice).
Dinner and overnight in Khuzhir.

Day 5
Breakfast. Excursion by car (80 km) to the northern extremity of the Olkhon Island - legendary Hoboi Cape. That name originates from the word “fang”, which is “Hoboi” in Buryat.
The splendid views of the Island and Small Sea impress one with the variety: here it is possible to see steppes, taiga, picturesque cliffs descending to an azure sea, and even a desert. From Hoboi Cape, one can see the panorama of Large Sea (Baykal). Exactly here, the distance between Baikal’s western and eastern shores reaches its maximum, 79,5 km. The eastern rocky shore of the Olkhon Island steeply breaks itself downward, into the abyss, at the depth of more than 1600 m. At the foot of Hoboi Cape, one can often see “nerps” (a unique fresh-water Baikal seal).

Returning to Khuzhir includes a visit to the most beautiful places: Sagan-Khushun Cape, Shunt Cape, Uzury…

Day 6
Walking to Burkhan Cape. Visiting the sacred shamanist place - the Shamanki Cliff.
Depart to Irkutsk. (Distance 350 km, 5-6 hours).
Arrival to Irkutsk. Accommodation in a host family.
Free time. Home dinner and overnight in Irkutsk.

Day 7
After a breakfast, one departs to Listvyanka (70 km). A pedestrian crossing from Listvyanka to Bolshie Koty (24 km). The itinerary of the tourist path passes along the shore of the lake and through small valleys. Here you can see the most beautiful landscapes with steep rocks and enjoy the views of Baikal.
Village Bolshie Koty is located within Pribajkalsky National Park. This settlement is well-known for its beautiful landscapes and the fact that there are only two possibilities to reach it, namely, by foot or by ship.
The lunch-picnic in one of the small valleys.
Arrival to Bolshie Koty. Accommodation in a host family or in a tourist base.
Dinner and overnight in Bolshie Koty.

Day 8
After breakfast, you either have free time or can walk to Skriper Rock (4 km one-way).
Skriper is the most beautiful rocky cliff. In a steep slope of Skriper, there is a cave. Its area is 60 м2. Once the cave was inhabited, and some stone and iron tools of hunting were found inside the cave. Not far from the Skriper Rock, you can see abandoned mines of goldfields.
In the evening, you can visit a scientific museum at Biological station. The museum contains unique collections of exhibits collected by researchers of Baikal.
Dinner and overnight in Bolshie Koty.

Day 9 (Saturday/Sunday)
An excursion to abandoned mines of goldfields.
A very picturesque path goes deep into taiga. Not far from the path and at 1,5 kilometers’ distance from the settlement, there is an old gold mining drag. Recently the gold was being extracted here.
Lunch. Then there will be a tour to Grebeshok Mountain.
In less than 20 minutes of lifting along the path, you find yourself on an observation point of this beautiful rock. From this point, you can see Hamar-Daban Mountain Ridge located on the opposite coast of the lake, and if you look down, you will have seen the Baikal Lake as large as life. From here, one clearly sees a river valley and taiga, and small houses of the settlement that look like toys.
In the evening, there will be a tour across Baikal on board the “Voskhod” hydrofoil ship, from the source of Angara River and then downstream of Angara to Irkutsk (Distance - 80км, 1 hour 40 minutes).
Arrival to Irkutsk. Crossing from the landing stage to the city center, which will be accomplished by the “Raketa” boat (15-20 minutes).
Accommodation in a family.
Home dinner and overnight in Irkutsk.

Day 10
Transfer to the airport or to the railway station.

All transfers according the program (in case of the individual transfers);
Tickets for a water trip (the “Voskhod” boat) and for the surface transport (in case of regular transport for transfers);
01 overnight in Moscow, Ermitage Hotel*** (centre) in dbl room (in case of 3 persons 1dbl & 1 single) ;
02 overnights in a host family in Irkutsk in dbl rooms(toilet and bath in the house);
03 overnights at the Olhon Island in a host family house (facilities outside);
02 overnights in Bolshie Koty settlement in a host family or at a tourist base (toilet and bath in the house);
Meals as specified in the itinerary;
Excursions as specified in the itinerary;
Service of French/English/German speaking guide (others on request) for the visits indicated in the program;
Local guide on Olkhon Island for the period of excursion to Hoboj Cape (day 5);
